I have a Compaq with a 17" screen. It takes more that the current EnPower gives. Thanks for any answers.

I have the HP version (zd7000).

To my knowledge, the aircraft power systems (be they DC or AC) max out at around 70 watts or so, and our babies take 135.

My third battery arrived today to keep me going SEA-IAD and IAD-LHR. :)

I think United's new premium service between JFK and SFO/LAX has regular AC outlets in every seat. I could be wrong.

From what I've seen Singapore has them on the 744's in Raffles. Lufthansa has it on the 744 in First.

By the time they get to a laptop that sucks down 135 watts, I wonder why they even have batteries?

Be aware that the LH power plugs in F do enforce the 70w limit. If your power supply draws more, the plug will turn off (yellow light)

The solution to this plight is usually to just remove your battery (ie, have the laptop be on but not charging) --- this usually brings them under 70 watts. At least it did for my Dell 8600.

AC PC power is available on certain QF flights. You can check the availability here. (http://www.qantas.com.au/info/flying/travelClasses/businessChanges#jump1)

USAir on the east coast, mostly shuttles. I also had power in F from Clt to SJD.
Our Singapore flight from LAX to SIN had AC power in C.

Air Canada had them in economy class for a recent trip from Chicago to Montréal, but not on the way back.
