Hazmike

Mrs Hazmike went on an MR this past weekend. She says she wants to be NW Gold. Fine, I'll send you to Gatwick via MSP & DTW. Trip was $498 after a $300 TCV.
She got FC out of MEM & MSP. Then she was in 16H aisle out of DTW. Crying babies, no A/C, virtually no UG chance. Mrs Hazmike was very unhappy when she called to relay this. I suggested she go see the purser & use her feminine wiles to get a chair up front.
She called back 20 min later sipping champagne from 5B...
LGW was under construction. The Hilton had a hard bed, but the fish & chips were awesome. Duty Free had to restock after she left. Made it to MSP without incident, sans the UG. Got to her gate after several glasses of vino at the WC (I warned her about drinking & flying...) NW did a gate change & she was oblivious to the alleged announcement & missed her flight.
She called me, crying, to find out her options & what she was due. Can you say 'nothing'? This was hardly NW's fault. She scored 1000 miles, $10 in food coupons & an amenity booklet. Much more than she deserved. Rookie mistake. I asked, very gently, why she didn't check the departure board? Never occured to her. You just can't teach common sense.
She got into MEM by 10pm. Says she's learned her lesson...I have my doubts.
She's headed to SEA on 11/24 for Turkey Day MR. I'll just bet you can't wait to read that one...
