I was looking into getting the X30 with the Dell GPS navigation system included. When I first started looking at it on Dell's website, they called it the Pharos GPS system then they changed and started referring to it as the Dell GPS system.

I called Dell to ask them what was up with that and after being put on hold for a bit, the rep told me that they had not changed it at all and that the new Dell branding was the only change.

Will someone share their experiences with this GPS product? I've seen reviews elsewhere that it's a bit awkward or bobbly on the dashboard...

How reliable has it been for you as far as the driving directions go? Is it easily portable from vehicle to vehicle?

Thanks!

I would focus on a nice low costs bluetooth receiver, and then pick your own software.

The dell may indeed be pharos, for example the microsoft one is, but without much branding.

I don't personally like the pharos software, prefer the copilot software for the US and driving. Better updated maps in mho.

Unless you already have the X30, I'd advise caution. I have had one now for a few weeks and the wireless stuff is giving me fits. Drops connections, freezes the machine for 2-3 seconds for no apparent reason. I am up to date on all patches, etc... I'm considering taking my X5 back from my wfie.
