The timing is perfect. If history is any gauge, this may be one of the last temperate weekends of 2004. It is also the last week to take an outdoor stroll at ART CONNECTS: THE RIVER, an exhibit of nine large-scale sculptures along the banks of the Chicago River. The display, with works by Bob Emser, Barry Tinsley and others, begins east of Michigan Avenue and continues west, then south, ending at 2 N. Riverside Plaza.
