We're (finally!) booked on SAA flites
SAA235 LHR-JNB 1800-0705
SAA182 JNB-NBO 0950-1455

SAA183 NBO-JNB 1545-1905
SAA 236 JNB-LHR 2150-0720

What can we expect meal-wise on these flites in FC (LHR-JNB) and Business (JNB-NBO)?

What sorts of food/beverages are available in the departure/arrivals lounges for these in LHR, JNB and NBO?

Thanks!

To answer some of your questions ... the flight JNB-NBO will probalby be on a Boeing 737-800 with reasonably comfortable 5 abreast (dedicated not convertible like European carriers) seating with I guess 36in pitch or something like that ... perfectly reasonable for a 3-4hr day flight.

Food on these regional routes in Business class is really rather good (at least compared to European Biz class routes of similar duration) .. you get a decent 3 course meal with choice of main courses good selection of wines ... Not at all bad really.

F-Class long haul food .. i've never had the pleasure so can't help you on this.

The Business Class lounge in JNB isn't great - it's in the basement .. no windows ... decent selection of drinks .. not much food . The F class lounge is much nicer (upstairs) .. plenty of threads on it if you search ... you'll obviously get into it on your return journey .. no idea whether they'll let you in on the outbound if you're arriving in F connecting to C

The arrivals lounge in LHR is pretty nice too (upstairs in T1 departure) ... it's by invite only .. no idea what the criteria are .. certainly you get in on Paid C/F .. not sure otherwise.
