From those with experience, what are the lowest priced Hilton Family properties in the SF Bay Area? I'd like to rack up some stays to requal for Gold next year.
Weekdays or weekends both if you know.
Thanks,
CF

My family is staying at the HGI at SFO/Burlingame over the Thanksgiving holidays. My folks place has gotten too small for our expanding family. I'm paying $59/night. I think that is hard to beat.

Usually a very large difference at the airport for weekend vs. during-the-week rates. I've gotten the HGI's for ~$59 too on weekends.

My vote goes to HGI Milpitas and Burlingame. Both can be had for under $59 a night on most weekends.
Did you miss the NAVG promo? You can reach Gold with only 4 stays! :D
I reached my status the hard way with many nights not in my own bed.
Hampton Inn, Livermore
HGI, Milpitas
HGI Milpitas has raised their lowest rate to $69 within the past 60 days or so. An alternative for that area is the Hampton Inn Fremont, which is located just a few miles up 880, and regularly has a $53 Hit The Road rate on weekends.

If you do Homewood Suites, the Fremont/Newark location is often $71 during the week.

Clarification: that's a AAA rate.

Also check out HGI Cupertino -- weekend rates $63 with AAA or AARP discount, a little more without. (If you're gold now and want a decent view from your room, ask for 5th floor rooms facing west towards the mountains, e.g., 544 is a nice one with a king bed). Good front desk service, good included buffet breakfast for golds (they'll custom make you an omelet of your choice etc.), +the usual $5 pantry credit and two waters.
And if you want something to do during your mattress run and like twisty roads, HGI is a 5-10 minute drive from the entrance to Highway 9 -- take it up to Skyline Drive and have a ball driving around the Santa Cruz Mountains, or go hiking.
(There's a lot more interesting outdoor stuff to do near HGI Cupertino than HGI Milpitas)

Thanks very much for the info, I'll put it to use!
When driving by the HGI Gilroy one night, I saw a 39.99 rate posted on thier LED sign outside.

I generally stay in the East Bay and have gotten the Fremont Hilton for $75 (weekend) and the Hayward Hampton for $80 (mid-week).

I've never seen this hotel this cheap before - having it at $40 makes a lot of my plans for that part of the world a whole lot easier.
Calling it a "Bay Area" hotel, though, may be a stretch. ;)

You could go east and drive to Tracy and stay at the Hampton; usually pretty cheap. Eat at In 'n' Out, go to the outlet mall, visit the pig feedlots.

And if you keep driving west, you can get really adventurous and stay at the Hampton in Stockton - the cultural hotbed of the San Joaquin Valley. All of the charm of Tracy, plus the added bonus of industrial stench.
Besides, it sort of counts as the "Bay Area." :D
