I can tell you i just (VERY ANNOYINGLY) got paper tickets for my PHL-FRA-TXL and TXL-MUC-FRA parts with just the TXL portion on LH.

I believe that whenever you book a ticket through USAir where any portion of that flight is on a star alliance carrier, the entire itinerary is paper ticketed.

This has been the case for me so far this year. It happened with LH, UA, and Spanair for me.

Ditto. I got paper tickets for my LH itinerary in June.

Mmm... when we flew over to Hannover, Germany from the States on UA, the last leg was on LH and our tickets were all e-tickets, both United and Lufthansa... (Star Alliance).

However, I just booked flight from Hannover to the States on USAir, the ticket is paper tickets... on USAir and Lufthansa...

I had paper for two awards on LH as well.

Paper tickets for me. 100K award in first. Do reccomend the experience overall.

When I called UA yesterday to use my UA points toward a *Alliance award ticket, the agent encouraged me to choose LH so that the tickets could be issued electronically. She said that if I chose a different *Alliance carrier the tickets would have to be paper.
