I know American Express had a promo earlier this year, but I hadn't seen this one posted and it looks like it's an answer to the VISA NFL promo that is also underway.

Right you are. But I think you could probably just plug the code in on the regular reservations system in the box supplied, could you? :confused:

does anyone know if the code will work if the reservation is already made (got 1 this comingn week) and if it will work for a reservation not made on hilton.com?

From my experience, the code is not retroactive. Maybe you want to try update your reservation to see if it works.

Too bad its North America hotels only...

Yippee! Am staying at 6 hotels in Dallas and Austin in a couple weeks (work-related mattress run ;) ), and they're all on the list. Now, hopefully, I can still get the good rates if I try to rebook w/ the promo code. Wish me luck.

All my November stays are on the list! I tried calling reservations and seeing if they could add the code in, no luck. But all the rates are the same so I just rebooked them all. (pain the neck!)

Can I still get the double points if I use my hilton account at checkin and my friends pay for the bill with their AE hilton card at checkout?

I tried it both ways: the first reservation was made on the regular reservation system page; the second reservation was made using the promotional link ( I clicked on the desired hotel and continued on with my res. )
I both cases, I pluged the code ODAX in the promo box.
Looking at the conformation printout I can't see the promo code anywhere or even a mentioning of it. I wonder if the code is somewhere "beyond the scene" in my Hilton reservation. Both booked stays are in the next couple of weeks. I guess I'll know soon enough if the promo worked.

Did two of these stays and I've seen the regular miles but no bonus miles. Did anyone get the bonus miles?

Same here: regular miles for (2) stays in October but no bonus miles.

Even if they were, what would you get? 200 miles instead of 100. Great, just 125 says for a free plane ticket instead of 250!
