US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-FlightFund Merger) - New US Airways Radio Ads in DC Market

Heard on 97.1 WASH-FM this afternoon (not exact verbiage):

"US Airways is a low-fare airline that actually has a first class cabin. And Preferred members can upgrade on most GoFares to the front of the plane, with free cocktails and flight attendants who will cater to your every demand."

Interesting take. By the sound of the ad it seems like they're encouraging listeners to be cockroaches :)

Also, the 80s retro hour tonight on Mix 107.3 in DC was sponsored by US Airways.

Good to see that our favorite airline is still making some publicity for itself!

Haven't heard any of these yet, though I'm more of the 99.5 listener. I'll be on the lookout for them.

I hear/see them calling themselves a "low-fare" airline more and more; for me, this is going to take some getting used to!

Flight attendants that cater to your every demand? Very interesting. ;)

Well said, Wahoo. They now seem to be trolling for the exact profile they originally trashed in what, in retrospect, was the beginning of the downward spiral in relations between the line and its high mile customers. I am preparing my list of "demands" for the FA's. As an aside, if they are using radio, there's a good chance they traded tickets for ads. Paying cash to run that thing would be unconcienable.

LOL. What goes around comes around. BBB forced to troll for the same sort of customers he dissed a couple of years ago.

Maybe even a worse sort. At least this roach occasionally buys a Y or B ticket.

I was in the DC area this week and hear these also. The one I heard said something like we are just as cheap as other low cost carriers except we give you an assigned seat...

This is a recovery plan?

Isn't this Shuttle by United (United Shuttle)? And didn't that fail?
