US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-FlightFund Merger) - Latest CP qualification to get 2004 SWUs?

When is the latest that you can qualify (first time) for CP to get SWUs that year? I assume if I pass 100,000 miles on Dec 31 that I'll just get the SWUs for next year. I also assume that if I had hit 100,000 miles in June, I would have gotten the 2004 ones already (and then would get new ones next February).
I'm sitting on 93,000 now but it's difficult to find cheap fares to the left coast out of DTW so I might not hit 100,000 until November.

I don't think that they send out packets and certs if you qualify after October. But that was my case a while ago.

Does "after October" mean no certs if you qualify in November or December?

And if you had hit CP in June and received the certs, you wouldn't get new ones in Feb., iirc.
If you qualify in Nov/Dec, you should get them in your packet in Feb.

In previous years, I got them both at the time I moved up a tier (when they were for all tiers) and again at the annual renewal. Then again, policies change.

And as far as I know, one doesn't get SWUs anymore. The Transatlantic upgrades CPs have received the past couple years are nowhere near as useful in my experience (I've never used any that I received).

True. I think that changed last year, again caveated by "iirc" ;)
No SWUs anymore, just transatlantics; only for CP's; and I'm pretty sure they fixed the double cert loophole for those who "graduate" to CP during the year.

Just wanted to update this thread. I qualified (first time) for CP in late November (Nov 21) and received the CP pack a few days ago complete with 4 transatlantic upgrade certs (2 for me, 2 for companion).
Why would SWUs differ from transatlantics when talking about US? Isn't Europe the only place they fly that one can't get free preferred upgrades anyway?
Also, why does the CP card look exactly like the SP card (except it says CP instead of SP)?

You're right; the two cards look almost exactly the same, except the CP card's color is a bit darker.
The CP card is a lot darker, in my opinion. But I recently had LASIK so maybe my color balance is off a bit... :)
SWUs differed from standard upgrades in that they could be used at time of booking for a trip anywhere USAirways flew. For non-Europe trips, this was handy if you weren't planning on going to Europe and wanted to advance upgrade a long-haul like PHL-LAX or a caribbean flight outside your preferred 7/3/1 day window.
