Had an issue that I reported to CA (last week). No response from them yet; how long does it typically take for them to reply?

Thanks.

They commit to respond within 30 days, and my experience is that it usually takes about that long.

I recently sent two seperate emails to Consumer Affairs.

The inital was about 4 weeks ago complaining that I was charged undue fees for a European award. They CALLED me two days later to tell me I was getting a refund. The refund had yet to post to the credit card so I sent another email on Monday...I received an email response the next day stating it can take up to six weeks and that I should contact them again if it doesn't post in the next two weeks.

So basically, I'm saying...nothing but good luck here...

It also depends on your status. As a US1, I used to get responses to my web-submitted comments within a day or two. These were both compliments and concerns I would voice to US. They were always prompt and courteous when they responded.

Then I was dropped from US1 to US4. That's right. NOTHING. By the rules, they were within their rights. I had only accured something like 12,000 miles. Maybe less. Lots of life changes that year so I didn't travel as much. I submitted a comment and didn't get a response for about 5 weeks.....

Consumer Affairs knows where the butter for the bread comes from....

Amazingly enough, just after I posted this, voila, there was there response.

However, the compensation was pretty measly, 3K miles, for what I thought to be a VERY serious issue.

Oh, well. I guess that the Indians have circled the wagons and they have bigger issues than my pawltry complaint.
