For those of you who have spare money parked or invested, if you move some of it to Ameritrade, they will make it worth your while with SPG points. $10,000 gets 10,000 points and $20,000 (the max) gets 20,000 points.
The first half hits your account 4-6 weeks after opening the account. It must stay open for 6 months, after which they post the remaining half.
I'm not a big trader, but it's pretty easy to transfer some of my cash from a credit union to Ameritrade, let it sit there for 6 months, and look forward to two vacation nights or 25,000 miles. :p
