may I resurrect this as I would also like to know if EgyptAir is any good. I have run into a few people who said their service was fantastic in economy. I am finding this hard to believe.

I have flown Misrair / Egyptair. The company is 70 years old. They are reliable. Nothing great but satisfactory. I flew them from GVA to Sharm and my aunts from JFK to Cairo. They were fairly pleased.
