oneworld - Bangkok (BKK) Business Class Fares

I note business class fare BKK-LAX(or SFO)-BKK for $1,537 round-trip on Delta/Eva/Korean in January. Seems like good price to me. (Used ITA).

I am in midst of RTW. May continue to BKK, then use the above nested ticket to "come home" for a few months before resuming RTW ticket. Then start new RTW in WAW. Had paid about $900.00 for NRT-MIA-NRT economy last year, upgraded with VIP.

And what does this have to do with ONEWORLD RTWs?

It may be of interest to people who "nest" tickets if they wish to stretch out a RTW. I nested NRT-MIA-NRT last year so I could do Australia, New Zealand Japan on RTW. Return to US for several months on separate ticket from Tokyo. Then resume RTW later in the year for Asia and Europe. I didn't want to be gone from home (US) for months at a time. Gave me the ability to return home for several months before ongoing travel on RTW. Am I the only one who does this? I have done twice on different RTW's, will be doing again in 2005.

Maybe, but I wouldn't put the r/t on BR/KE/DL with Oneworld. It could perhaps have gone to the Mileage Run forum.

From Asia, a whole bunch of cheap airfares... cheapest being from CMB over BKK anytime. CX for under US$1500 Business Class CMB-West Coast return. Or AA in F for just under US$1700!

CX yes. Can only buy in CMB thru CX or T/A there.
AA no. It needs a creative routing to get that fare.
