Las Vegas - Las Vegas Pools open in DEC?

Going to Las Vegas early Dec and staying at the Monte Carlo. Will the pools be open early Dec? I know most of the strip hotels have heated pools. Anybody swam in Dec before?

IME, outdoor pools are closed at almost all hotels from Nov. 1-Feb 28.

I think they are also closed in December.

Can't recall if anyone has an indoor pool though :confused:

We normally go to LAS the week before Christmas. Highs are typically in the upper 60's during the day and lows are in the upper 30's/low 40's at night.

Does not add up to outdoor pool weather in my book. ;)

If its not too windy, upper 60s would get me out for an hour or two around midday (but then I live in London...).

I am off to Vegas in Feb, and would at least like the option of an open pool should we get a warm/warmer/hot spell. Dec, I fear might be even a little too chilly for me!

I noted on the www.mgmgrand.com site their amenities section states they always have at least one pool open for limited hours every day of the year, although most of their pools are indeed shut up for the winter season.

Which of the 5 star Strip hotels have good indoor pools open at this time of year?

Bellagio's poll (outdoor) is open year round and heated (though seasonal hours apply). http://www.bellagio.com/pages/attrac_highpool.asp

Alladdin's pool was open up until yesterday at least (11/10)

Stayed at Bellagio in Nov and Dec 2002 and both times, pools were open and heated. Whirlpools (6 of them I believe) were literally empty :)

Embassy Suites Conv Center - on Paradise Rd,
has an indoor pool and an outdoor spa - pool may be open

The Tropicana pool and jacuzzi in the basement of the rear tower is indoors (it is separated by a divider from the outdoor pool), and in my experience is open 24/7/365. If you get hassled late at night tell 'em you are a guest of the casino and they'll leave you alone.

Going this weekend for a 4 day trip and the weather said high 50's.
Do the hotels allow you to use the pool even though you are not a guest?
