Online Travel Booking and Bidding Agencies - Priceline for Istanbul
I am trying to use Priceline for a hotel in ISTANBUL, but I guess as many US travellers are sadly avoiding the East nowadays there has not been much call for this.
Checked biddingfortravel.com but no info - any suggestions?

Priceline doesn't include a zone map for Istanbul. According to an email I got, this means anywhere in the city that has Istanbul in the address is fair game. (I didn't ask about Istanbul, but a different city.) Since location is usually an important part of an hotel stay, do you really want to risk this?

Agreed. Istanbul is too big of a city to risk bidding on no information. If you get the airport hotel, the drive could be 40 min to 1.5 hours+ depending on traffic.

We got a good rate at the Hyatt last year - very impressive and for less than GBP100 B&B.
There's quite a lot of info on here somewhere of 2*/3* places in the Sultanhamnet (sp?) area where FTers have found good places to stay too...

You can check Trip Reports for reports by myself and stanbye321. Also check the Far East section of this board
