Miles & More (Lufthansa, Austrian, Swiss, and other partners) - Can I upgrade a 50k *A (USAir) ticket with M&M miles?

I've checked the the "How to upgrade on *A carriers" thread, but didn't see this in there.

Can I use 50k USAir miles to get a standard award on LH, and then upgrade that to Business class using M&M miles?

I believe the answer is no, but I figured I should try asking first.

No you cant upgrade awards - other than cancelling and redeeming more miles for higher class.
