I am getting ready to book a quick flight DTW to NYC in OCT and NK has the lowest fare... So low, that the "Plus" class they offer is still cheaper than the lowest fare on the other airlines... My question is, is "Plus" really all its cracked up to be, or could I just sleep in coach and save the $40?
Any info or experiences would be appreciated!

Check out Seat Guru (http://www.seatguru.com/airlines/Spirit_Airlines/Spirit_Airlines_MD-80.php) They have info on their plane.

I've never flown Spirit, but as someone who walks by their counter everyday, I think it's almost worth $40 to avoid their dreadful check-in line...
That said, it's such a short flight that I'd just suck it up in coach.

For that price you get an upgrade to "first class". You get the preferential check in and boarding, complementary snacks and drinks as well as roomier seats with better seat pitch.

The owner of our company flies Spirit all the time and books Plus. He's 6'5" and loves it!
