For those who do not use ebay or any other link, Ben Edelman (who has contibuted a great deal to frequent flyism) has written the following in another thread:

Priceline occasionally pays me small commissions -- a percent or two of folks' bids, when they click to Priceline via my links -- and I use these funds to pay the web hosting bill for my travel resources page.
