The Caribbean - BVI - Peter Island or Guana island?

my wife to be and I are looking for a place for our honeymoon on the first week of March. After analyzing some caribbean options, we're pretty much set on these two locations. Anyone ever stayed in either one? We're looking for a calm place with good food, empty beaches and not much else to do. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I have never stayed in a room at either place. I have parked a boat in the harbor at Peter Island, and used the facilities for a week on 3 or 4 occasions.

I like peter island very much. There are a reasonable number of activities, and seems to have about the same guest density as Guana. The food was quite good, and the wine selection relatively extensive.

They would drive us around to the other side of the island for snorkeling when we wished, or call a dive boat. There was an hourly ferry to Tortola. Dead mans bay never had more than 10 people on it, and I don't think we ever saw anyone on the beaches on the backside of the island.

They had a right decent band every night for dancing.

The place can take a wicked hurricane hit, but not to worry in March, unless it is still not back together from the year before.

I just don't know much about Guana. We were told it was a private island, and off limits to charter yachts. I would question food and dining carefully, as a lot of the islands are ok, but not great. I also wonder who you get around the island. Three-four miles up and 4 back is a bit of a trip in heat and humidity. Which reminds me, I think you really want air conditioning.
