This actually shows that Asiamiles/MPO are getting stingier on their promos. A few years ago, all redemptions with 50% off, even in summer - I think that was 4 years ago. Then 3 years ago, it was was 30% off, then 20%. Now, it is 30% off a particular route on a particular class. What a decline in the attractiveness of the promotions. It must mean they are doing very brisk business!

When businesses perform well, they tend to have excessive confidence. It's totally normal and I won't accuse them. Just wait for SARS or birdflu or some epidemic to strike south East Asia region again, and they will be begging us for our patronage :rolleyes: Automatic tier-renewal + status bonus + empty cabins back a year or so ago was by far the most generous promotion I can recall of.
