Hello Everyone!
Could someone please enlighten my on the terms and conditions (along with procedure) in transferring CX points in BA upgrades (shorthaul I might add in my case) Anyway, are there any restrictions on the booking code or such?
Thanks for your help, as the CX site was confusing!

Transfer points or redeem points from ASIAMILES? There is a difference 'cos you can't transfer points to another FF account (well, you can.. but that's another story).
1. Buy your ticket with BA or any travel agent. It MUST be an e-ticket.
2. Once you have your ticket, call ASIAMILES and tell them you want to upgrade your BA ticket. Booking class must be of : Y/B/H/T/W/K/L/M/R only - classes of service where you can normally earn Asiamiles even if it's only 50% or so. If it's N or V class, you can't upgrade.
(Actually you can call them first to see if there is availability in the upgrade class.)
3. Once your upgrade award is booked ... ASIAMILES will take over the booking and upgrade accordingly.... the purchased ticket will still earn miles and that will be credited to your Asiamiles account.
4.Just show up at airport..and check in for your Business Class flight.

Is there a certain number seats for Asia miles upgrades on BA? I expect the answer to be no but hope it is yes. BA is cutting down a lot on upgrade inventory for BA EC members as well (maybe the high load factors in premium class).
