Im flying FC from LAX to AKL in March. Does the Air NZ lounge have showers available in Auckland, and, would an inbound FC passenger be allowed to use them on arrival???

Yes and no. Both business and first class lounges have showers. Unfortunately lounge is not available for arrivals (due to security) unless you are transitting to another international (star alliance) flight.

Yes, but you could just keep going up the concourse instead of going down the stairs to arrivals and use the lounge.

I'm sure that after you cleared customs and got landside in AKL you could transfer to the domestic terminal and use the showers in the lounge there, by presenting your US*G Card and First Class bp.

I have a question related to this. I'm meeting up with a friend in Auckland in September. I'm arriving from Singapore afternoon, but she arrives from LAX on ANZ at 5:30am and I'm trying to figure out the best way for her to kill 6-7 hours at the AKL airport. She's flying Business, so she'd have access to the lounges, but since the Koru Club is airside, I'm assuming that wouldn't be a good place to crash as her checked bagged would sit and rot (and get confiscated!) if it sat for that long without going through customs and claiming her checked bags. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

That would not be possable as she cant get in the KC after she has got off the plane as akl airport is now segrated. The only option that she realy has is to goto MC'ds or the bar and wait for your flight to arive.

You want her to wait around the airport for 8 hours for you? Just meet in the city somewhere so she can enjoy the morning instead of being stuck in a boring airport waiting for you.
