Saw this in my DM E-Statement this month - interesting that they've decided to sell access to the LGW Arrivals Lounge - makes sense considering how empty it seems to be when I'm there. Am surprised that they left the SPs out of this. Well, it'll earn some cash anyway.

ENJOY THE ARRIVALS LOUNGE AT LONDON GATWICK FOR JUST $25
The US Airways Arrivals lounge at London's Gatwick Airport allows you to start your day refreshed with showers/valet service, business amenities, lounge seating and a continental breakfast buffet. For a $25 fee, Chairman's Preferred and Gold Preferred members traveling in Coach Class are invited to enjoy the lounge. I believe this is part of something larger. My new Club card has a special logo for United lounge access (my understanding is they are charging extra for new members to get United Club access). The letter says that in addition you can 'purchase' access to *A clubs overseas.

However, my understanding of the *A agreement was that *A gold can use a *A lounge on the day of departure for international flights when traveling on those airlines (its worked for me for SAS and Lufthansa).

I'm guessing this $25 fee is just part of that pay as you go program. I'd be interested if they are making money on this, or if they charge each other $25 when a member accesses another *A club....
