Hello All,

I am a Silver Flying Club Member & have a question about the Premium Economy Check-In.

I am travelling in a party of 8 (all in 1 PNR). I am the only cardholder with any status (2 red's and 5 nothings!).

Are we all able to check-in together at the premium economy desk with my Silver card?

Thanks

Chris

Officially it's only you and 1 travelling companion; but personal experience suggests they aren't that strict. However, 8 people and 1 silver card might raise an eyebrow. But hey, they can only say no. Give it a shot.

I think you might be pushing it.

I once got away with 4 of us travelling together "using" my silver card but 8 ??.

It probably depends on which airport you're using and how busy they are at that time. For example LHR T3 on a saturday morning - no chance !.

Not to be rude, but that is exactly why the change was made to one guest only. I was not the only person who was tired of seeing a whole swarm of people clogging up Premium or Upper check-in when just one of the party had a Silver or Gold card.

The Securicor agents that stand at the entrance to Premium and Upper to check passports, have now been told after the number of complaints that it is strictly One guest. They have a list of cards that are allowed to use the facilities too, after the number of idiots that tried it on with their Centurion Card or a Red/very old grey Freeway card.

Thanks,
Richard

So if I now want to check in the silver line with my wife and young child, they're now going to direct me to join the rest of herd ?.

In that instance I don't think they would send you to the Y class check-in melee. I think the unwritten rule is that its you + 1 adult guest.

But someone rolling in with a party of 8 adults and only one with any real status with the airline most certainly is not going to happen.

Thanks,
Richard
