Just want to vent my utter frustration with getting timely, or anything remotely close, to timely posting of mileage for Budget rentals. IMHO Budget has attained the dubious distinction of taking over first place from Alamo for poor customer service on posting of mileage.

Not only are they way out in front for first place, I love the cavalier attitude they now have. Their slogan should be “Kiss our Budget Butt’s”. Ever since Cendant purchased Budget, and Budget did their subsequent Retro-fit of their Fast Break program terms and conditions, they effectively told their Fast Break members we don’t care about you any more!
Getting points credited is a nightmare! I had to call, e-mail and fax 75% of my car rentals to get the proper credit before I pulled the plug on them. :td: :td: :td: :td: :td: :td:

It consistently astounds me that a company can be so incredibly insensitive in dealing with a relatively simple issue (prompt posting of mileage and attentive customer service)...i've shifted all my rentals to other companies. I have to agree with you, in my dealing with them, and I have been relatively polite, they really seem not to care. And i'm not talking about one agent in particular, but everyone i come in contact with there...all they want to do is put you off and tell ya, "it'll take 30-90 days", over and over and over...

for punishment...a few weeks ago I wrote da President's Office of Budget, pointing out their poor customer service handling of posting mileage, and of course included details of my own experience. They sent me a couple of coupons for my trouble, gave me a general apology, did not address my particular experience, nor did they indicate that they would make any effort to look into my specific situation or even the general situation surrounding how their customer service reps are handling (or more accurately, not handling) mileage postings.

Kind of the fuzzy response that instills no confidence.

FWIW, Budget somehow forgot about one of my rentals, and I was never awarded the points. I was eventually able to prove to them that I *really* made the rental - but it took a huge number of calls, three faxes, and about two months in the meantime. At the time all of this was occuring, I suppose my loyalty shifted to National - but I completely understand the frustration!

But it's one thing when they want proof of the rental; when they acknowledge you had it and should have the points, and then don't come through with the points, that's inexcusable. They acknowledge i had 2 qualified rentals in March, and that I should be awarded mileage, it just never appears despite all of their apologies. Idiots.

Completely agree . . . Budget will lose their frequent renters this way :td:

I am doing the battle of the faxes right now with Budget. One is on a rental that they will not give any credit for and the other is on one that was only awarded half credit when I should have gotten regular credit. The way it is now, getting half credit out of Budget is a winning hand!
