Maybe you're an elite flyer, spending as much time in airport lounges as you do with your own family. Perhaps you're a miles junkie, willing to drive 150 miles out of your way to earn double points. And now, with US Airways (UAIRQ:Nasdaq - commentary - research) entering bankruptcy and Delta Air Lines (DAL:NYSE - commentary - research) on the brink, you're worried that your big-time status and treasure trove are about to go up in smoke.

Don't worry.

Good link.

I saw an cute story in the paper this morning (sorry, no link available). I'm in Madrid and the hotel provided some English language paper with a travel column by an English guy. In it a reader wrote in concerned about his United miles -- the correspondent told him not to worry and be happy and then suggested that, if he was really nervous, he might want to consider booking other * partners such as US Airways.

Saw it in the International Herald Tribune on Sept. 17th when I was at CDG waiting to take the 767 back in Envoy to PHL. (since you Madrid flyers had taken the A330 that I'd booked when I got my awards last November :p)

I'll be posting a separate trip report on 767 Envoy

I was amused by the advice.
