Just arrived in Hong Kong today on CX 829 YYZ-HKG (with a stopover in YVR). Sitting in the Wing right now for another 12 hours until my connecting flight to JNB. Boy, do I miss the F lounge on my last CX trip..

Few observations:
1) Real knives are back again.
2) Meal service is done with meal trolley with all the various meal options displayed on the carts so that passengers can see and select
3) Still only 2 meals for a 20hour flight (one main right after the midnight departure) and a Breakfast prior to arrival in Hong Kong. There were plenty of snacks, and they did not run out of the hot food. I had 2 bowls of the noodle soup, 2 of those yummy pork buns, and one selection of sandwiches.
4) The meals start from the back and the FA serves AB aisle first and work their way to the back of EF
5) really attentive FA's - who always addressed me by name.
6) There is a complete crew change in YVR.
7) J cabin was quite full with only about 2 seats empty
8) Avoid the first row especially A/B - right next to the noisy galley.
9) Looks like the menu goes 3 months on this route (Aug, Sept, Oct)

Light Choice:
Noodles Soup with Chicken, Shiitake Mushrooms and Choy Sum

1) Cheese Plate
2) Fresh Seasonal Fruits
3) Apple Flan with Vanilla Sauce

Assorted Breads and Rolls
Tea and Coffee
Pralines

Snacks:
1) Noodle soup with Chicken, Shiitake Mushrooms and Choy Sum
2) Barbecued Pork Bun
3) Selected Sandwiches
4) Ice Cream
