How hard is it to redeem awards?

Are Sunday flights jam packed?

Anyone ever get a Sunday return award flight?

Is a Saturday night stay required for an award? (I think I can look this one up myself unless someone knows the answer offhand).

I ask because I am considering to start flying F9

I have had good luck redeeming awards (4 seperate times) on F9, including to PVR last year between Christmas and New Years. I have always been able to get the days I wanted, usually with a choice of flights. You can check availability on ITN...reward seats come out of the "S" bucket. However, there is sometimes more S availability than ITN shows. There is no Sat stay requirement. And yes, I ahve travelled on awards on Sundays.

Very possible. I should have enough miles for an award by the middle of next year, but who knows when I'll actually get around to using them... :)
