Does renting a hertz moving van qualify as a rental? Would I be able to use PC codes to apply toward the rental?
Is the Excursion the largest car rental they have? Wonder if I can bring my bed down with that...paying per mile for the moving van may not be the best alternative.

Hertz rents everything from moving vans to industrial and construction equipment. AFAIK, everything beyond a pickup truck is covered by a seperate program. There is a "gold" program for industrial rentals but it is different than the gold one I use for car rentals.
My instinct would be "no" to PC's for moving vans. I've had better luck with Ryder and Penske for truck rentals, although they weren't bobtail vans.

Thanks for your response, but maybe I should clarify my q...does the rental qualify for PC status, ZE1 points, or miles?

This depends on the location. If your town/city has two depots - one for trucks and one for cars, you'll find it won't count for PC's. I've found that I get PC's for 2 tonne trucks at my location - but it is a sole location in the city.

I'm not clear whether Promotional Coupons exist for the rental of large trucks, although they may indeed. I have not personally seen any.
From my experience with renting Hertz large trucks and industrial equipment, I do know that they haven't seemed to know what to do with my gold number, so, at least in my area, I would assume such rentals don't accrue ZE1 points or count towards 5* or President's Circle. I could (but have not) apply for a gold industrial rental account but that would be seperate and didn't appear to have any of the perks we're used to.
Is that PC (politically correct)? :D
