Travel Technology - Nokia Upgrades Communicator
Nokia Upgrades Communicator
The Nokia 9300 has 80 MB of free user memory for storing e-mail, documents, presentations, applications and other data. Planned availability for the Nokia 9300 is in the first quarter 2005...
...Nokia will offer two tri-band versions of the Nokia 9300 -- one optimized for mobile networks in Europe and Asia and one optimized for mobile networks in the Americas, yet both versions are able to roam in GSM networks across regions.

As nice as it looks, I get the distinct impression that Nokia has lost their way with these high end devices. It's great to see them including the Blackberry client though (four days on and push email still rocks for me). I still love my 9210 though and if that had GPRS I would never have been tempted to try anything else.

Thanks!
...Nokia says it will introduce some 35 new models this year, although Rick Simonson, its chief financial officer, said on Thursday that there was still strong demand for older models....

The 9300 is quite a bit smaller but does not have WiFi or a digital camera.

The 9300 looks very interesting to me. I will happily trade small size for a camera. WiFi would be nice but I can live without it if I have BT.

I have a 9500 coming for beta test and hopefully can blag a 9300 as well... IMO the 9500 is STILL the cat's meow... all it needs is a kitchen sink to have EVERYTHING. The 9290 would've been perfect had we had HSCSD available here or had it had GPRS. It did a fabulous job of browsing (I did an entire fantasy football draft on it very verrrrrrrry slowly) but 9600bps does NOT cut it.

KBear-- another tech savvy FTer (ScottC) has repeatedly stated that the Nokia still has various software bugs issues, including synch issues with Outlook, etc. Whats your experience with this...?

Except for the part about the OS that was designed by people who have never made a phone call.
