do really all the rental car agencies charge those 3USD per day extra when picking up a rental car at the airport? according to sixt, they all do, but neither avis nor alamo talk about this?

It's actually an additional 10% plus $3/day at the airport.
On Alamo's website it shows up as "Concession Recoupment Fee 10 %" and "Customer Facility Chrg 3.00usd/day".
On Avis' website it is "10% for all rentals (Airport Fee)" and "$3.00 per day (Customer Facility Charge)".

All of the car rental agencies that operate at McCarran Airport MUST charge this fee, per order of government in Clark County, where the airport is located. The fee will be used (or so they claim) to build a new consolidated rental car facility for all rental companies that will be located, ironically, off the airport.
