Hi there,
I'm going to spend Xmas in Sweden and I was just wondering if anyone has any good awd or coupons or upgrades for car rentals in Sweden. FYI, I will need it for 19 days (this is probably going to eat up all the savings for flying with Ryanair huh?) Also, should I try to book this now or what until it's closer to Xmas?
TIA :)

Try a quote using the Hertz link on the 'Vomit-Comet'(Ryanair) website at

I'm planning to rent a car from ARN (Stockholm) July 21-24 or 25... the quotes on the hertz.com site are quite expensive (expecting that)... I've manually sifted through over 100 threads with any mention of Europe, along with the "a few good coupon codes" thread but can't come up with anything useful for ARN/Sweden/Stockholm except for the "15% off Hertz Prestige Collection Rentals in Europe" 972156 PC code.
Anyone have anything on European or Sweden codes? Anyone, anyone... Bueller... Bueller...
Thanks in advance...!

Try the flysas.com website and the blue1.com website. The better site is hertz.se. They have good deals over the holidays. I used the SAS EB CDP to get a good deal last christmas. Something like 300 SEK/day for a week in a Volvo S60.

Do they ask for your EB card if you book using one of the EB CDP's?

Nope. The rate for the EBB and EBS/EBG is the same, so I picked up a temp EB card from one of the SAS brochures just to be safe, but wasn't asked for it :)

Changed my plans for picking up a vehicle at ARN.
Question is, where in ARN would I pick up my rental? Is there a Hertz kiosk in each terminal?

No matter what I do:
- use SAS EP CDPs
- use 15% off Europe Prestige CDP
- different times, dates
- use my company affiliation
- use no affiliation
etc...
I get insane rates out of ARN... it's literally 750SEK per day (and I only want to rent for two days!!!)... How on earth did you get 300 SEK/day?
Please please please if someone out there can tell me how to get cheaper rates at ARN I would greatly appreciate it! I am hoping to rent July 22-24...

Thanks, I sent them an email... crossing my fingers, but I don't expect much help from them.

Looks like since I have a Canadian address, my rate is twice as much as someone who has an address in Sweden. :(
If I actually apply my corporate rate (which is slightly cheaper than not using it) it has CDW and Theft built in, all for a total of 2090 SEK (!!!) for 2 days (8 hour advance booking required)... As a resident of Sweden, it would be a total of 845 SEK for 2 days (1 hour advance booking), but no CDW/Theft. I'm renting a Volvo S40 2.4 Automatic.
I guess I'm SOL!
