Travel Technology - Anyone want a Gmail Account?

OK I know this is DEFINITELY the wrong forum to post in. But I have something to give back to the community not necessarily travel related, but give back all the same. I am not qualified enough to post in OMNI where this should go - and I cant put it in my signature line in every post - since signatures are disabled.

Please dont flame me - but if anyone so desires - I have 6 invites showing up in my account. I could invite whoever desires but still does not have a Gmail account.

I know there are other threads by people offering the same in OMNI, just thought I might as well throw mine in the community bucket for people to take since I am not going to be doing anything with them anyway.

Lets face it, by the time they actually get out of beta and launch, they'll already be the largest provider of free email accounts on the planet. Now if only T-Mobile UK would implement a gmail interface to their blackberry web client (something they've already done very well with Hotmail).

I think the method of expansion was pretty smart. They were able to expand the service at a pace they could keep up with and knew how many potential new accounts people might sign up at any time.

Now that the demand seems to be subsiding, at some point they will open it to the public, I suppose.

When you fill out the form, please remove the bogus information I filled in when I generated the invite. Meaning please make sure you change the first and last name, and the secondary email address. These can all be changed on the sign-up page.

Thanks. I don't know WHY I need one of these (I have my own domain/mail server), but I'm glad to see no one has claimed my long, Polish last name. ;)

hahahaha - thats true. I too have my own email server with UNLIMITED (of course up the HDD size) disk space and a perfect email address - firstname@lastname.com - but just HAD to have gmail. Sucks that I cant get my firstname@gmail.com like I do have with hotmail - have a unique enough first name that not too many people want - but gmail policies wont allow 5 letter userids!

Also one thing I don't like is that you cannot access your amil via pop3? I prefer Outlook to a web interface, but the google search would be a coll feature to have. But still prefer Outlook.
