Air New Zealand Air Points - NZ123 F Class ?

Myself and the other half are booked on NZ123 AKL-MEL as a continuation to our flight from SFO. We are booked in D, but I notice that the plane is a 747 - do NZ offer F on that flight, and do you think we could use the last of the *G UK vouchers we have to enjoy 2.5 houors of sumptueousness ?

NZ123 is normally a 762/3 with just Business and Economy, but all NZ 744s have First class so if it really is a 744 then checking in early might secure the nose of the plane, I guess.

I suspect it may be like the BNE and Japan flights. You may get F seat (depending on fare, status, etc) but wont get F service (rather biz instead - still good).

PS Flight is more like 4 hours (perhaps you are not taking account of time zones).
