Travel Technology - T-Mobile service in Los Angeles region.

I am planning to get T -Mobile service soon after dumping Cingular with whom I was for 6 years....any reviews on their coverage in CA in general?

T-Mobile rents space on Cingular's network in Los Angeles. This may not be what you really want, if you recently dumped Cingular.

I have no problems with coverage on T-Mobile (roaming on Cingular) in LA - except for some remote areas.

As people have said, you will have the exact same service as you had with Cingular. When the merger happens with AT&T, thier service area might expand. I have been pretty disappointed with the coverage in LA on my T-Mobile Blackberry - there are a lot of spots that it is searching for the network, while I am on my Verizon phone.

Verizon has far and away the best coverage in the LA area. Maybe the AT&T merger will help Cingular, but I wouldn't count on it.

I'm on ATT but I would say go with Verizon.... however if are in NY I would say go with ATT or Verizon, because I seems to be doing better with ATT than I did when I had Verizon a few weeks ago... lol

FWIW, I am out of state Tmobile running around the SM area and have had no problems while my phone shows Cingular. In fact, I am getting better reception here than in the Midwest
