Starwood Preferred Guest - *Wood Rookie....2 Questions

I just recently received my Starwood AMEX and realized I did not apply for the 4000 miles with first purchase...is there a way to get this on the current card, or do I have to get a new card. And, since I just got the card, is it possible to obtain another one now, or do I have to wait a specified time like United's Visa? Second question: Is it possible to register the card with United Dining and eat at a Starwood Restaurant and double my earning? Points from Starwood and miles from United? Thanks for all of your help...

Did you apply online? Any applications I have seen had the bonus miles. If you applied for an offer with no bonus, you're probably out of luck, though you can try complaining.

Sounds like you need to call American Express and discuss the possibilities with them.
