Hello everyone. Sorry to waste posting space with "gee-whiz" questions, but I did as much searching as I could, but didn't get all the info I wanted.
In any event, in a few weeks, I am taking my first flight on HP. BWI-LAS. Having never flown HP, I was curious how things worked, especially the paid upgrade program.
Has anyone here flown the BWI-LAS trip? Is it usually crowded? Any chance at all of actually scoring an upgrade on this?

I have flown it, usually on the weekends it is about 2/3rds to 3/4ths full. There may be a slight chance of scoring a paid upgrade if the flight is low on elites, but it would be around $150 or so I believe.

I've flown the BWI-PHX and BWI-LAS flights a few times. On my LAS experiences, the flights have been about 80% full, with the F cabins always completely full. I've been consistently denied upgrades on these legs as a silver, with a silver companion. Try booking around the 757 flights- aim for the 319, which will give you the greatest upgrade chances.
But don't expect much in the lines of service. Plastic cups, plastic forks, and small portions of everything. If you're used to AA and UA F service, then "HP" will have a whole new meaning to you as your favorite meal up front. ;)
