Hello all,

I just noticed the Travel Bidding forum today (I remember reading that Randy was considering it, but this was the first time that I actually noticed it was listed). Just out of curiousity, what's the future of this forum? I assume it will be more liberal than BFT is, but is it worth it to post our bid results? In other words, if I bid on a hotel & get a good rate (honestly, I rarely use PL because I like to be able to cancel my reservation if need be), should I post it here? Or do we not want this forum to become a bidding forum (which if it does become one, it'll probably attract a lot of non-FT'ers, as I'm sure most FT'ers would post here instead of BFT or other similar sites)? Would this forum be better off being a strategy & concept forum?

In all honesty, I don't see myself being too regular of a contributer to this particular forum as I rarely bid on travel and when I do, it's only for hotels & car rentals, but usually, my corporate car rental rate is pretty decent & if it's not, then unless I'm saving at least 10 bucks in overall costs, I won't bid on a hotel or car from Priceline (and in my experience, I've never really gotten a truly good deal on a PL car, but have had some pretty great deals on hotels in the past). But I was just curious, so I'm asking...Thanks!

The problem with this forum is that it is not organized like www.biddingfortravel.com, which finding good information is easy.

Maybe this forum should be formatted in that fashion

I do use Hotwire, only for Hotels and cars, never on flights, I do need to know when I am going to arrive ;)

This "travel bidding" forum has been around for several years now, and it's not the same as Randy's idea of a bidding report forum...

Share and learn all the secrets of winning bids on Priceline, Expedia, Hotwire and more.

I guess we could do a Clinton, and ask, it depends on your definition of "more" :D

Someday some smart person is going to out ease-of-use BFT and that will be that. It could even be a pay site.

Scott is correct. This forum has been around for awhile. Before the "restructure" of FT it included all internet travel sites, but when the change came it only is described as a bidding related forum.
As moderator, it now leaves little to moderate (except when the issue of one particular travel site owner reaccures).
