How is the remodel doing at gate B4 doing. I think it is done by now. I will be there the 29th and hope it is open and am anxious to see the remodel. Has anyone seen the new remodeled club yet?
Thanks

Yes. I saw the one in the A1-14 concourse. It was a little disappointing.

It's open and the remodel is complete . . . I have not felt the upgrades -- to any of the lounges -- have made them significantly more luxurious. I would have appreciated WiFi, but no such luck.

They didn't add WIFI? I thought that was one of the things for the upgrade. Are they hardline ports for you to plug into?

Actually, wireless internet access has been up and running in America West's PHX clubs for a couple weeks. You will need a password to get on but the agents at the club can give those to you. You can also plug in to the high speed lines at the computer stations.

Thanks for the information. I saw no indication of WiFi when I was there, but will ask next time. That's great. Have not checked for Ethernet connections in a long time and am glad that's available.

Is there a charge for either the hard connection or the WiFi . . . or is that (hopefully) a benefit of membership?

Wi-Fi is free.

As if someone at the America West Club were listening in on us, I got this e-mail from them just a few minutes ago:

Stay Connected
Wireless and High Speed Internet access is now available in all three Club locations at Sky Harbor International Airport. Members have complimentary use with any Wi-Fi enabled computer from anywhere in the Club. Plus, the private work stations and business centers are equipped with dataports to provide High-Speed access. For your convenience, the Club representatives will have data cables available for use while in the club. We anticipate expanding this service to our Las Vegas club by the end of 2004.

And that’s not all – in an effort to further enhance the resources you need to make the most of your valuable time, members have complimentary use of faxing, printing and copier service while visiting all the Clubs, including Las Vegas.

New Look!
This summer the Phoenix Airport Clubs located on Concourse A (above gate A7 & A9) and Concourse B (above gate B5 & B7) underwent a remodeling. We’ve proudly opened the doors to a comfortable new look. You’ll enjoy the refreshing new atmosphere with a spacious, relaxing feel.

Rate Change
Effective October 1, 2004, there will be a membership fee increase of $35. We would like to offer our current Club members an opportunity to renew memberships at the current rate. You can take advantage of this special rate offer now through September 30, 2004. Next time you stop in, simply tell the Club representative that you would like to take advantage of the September Renewal Offer. Or, complete the renewal form available for download online.
