I have two NA Space Positive Upgrades that I need to use by December 31. However, the rest of my travel this year has me on either all regionals, or on other airlines, so I figured I would take a short vacation in October.
Basically, my choices have been whittled down to either Chicago or Tampa, as both aren't that expensive (about $220), a decent hotel room for a night isn't that bad, and I haven't been to either city.
Now for my question. United is offering a fare of $216 to ORD out of GSO, however, all four segments of my desired itinerary are on US metal (GSO-CLT-ORD-CLT-GSO); US is offering the same flights for $60 more, which is a little pricey for my liking. Would I be able to use these upgrades on these flights, even though I would be booked under UA, or should I just head down to Tampa (where all flights would be booked on US, on US metal).
Thanks for the heads up,
Jeff
