Me, I got three fly three's, three bump vouchers and 191,662 miles. I've burned some where around 1,200,000 in the last 18 months.
If she goes, US has taken me and my family to several parts of the world and the US that we would have never gone to, so if they all go tomorrow I've got my money's worth.

After using some, I'm at about 240K, and will be well over 250K by the Labor Day. Considering I was well under 200K at the beginning of the year, I've accumulated more thanks to my wife and the BOA card. Don't know where I'll spend them at this point, as I was holding out for 2 Envoys to Europe at a later date.

My brother has in excess of 500,000 miles and if that were not bad enough, I have been dispensing to him the same advice that I had been giving here for better than 6 motnhs, now!
Wife has 140 miles and I have 0 (only ever had 1,000 FF miles from online signups and e-mail receipts of my statement which I promptly converted into a magazine subscription via Points.com :D ).

325,000 for me and another 90K for Mrs. MileKing for a total of 415K. However, we have two coach seats already reserved (using US miles) for flights on UA metal next year and will ticket tonight or tomorrow so that will drop us to 365K.
Thankfully, we have steered our business away from US this year and only have two paid tickets pending (domestic coach flights, but not til mid-March). We also used 160K back in May to go Envoy to Ireland.

well, I had 154k untik Saturday, I am cashing in 120k for Disney world for my sister, brother in law, and their 3 kids ( and me). Let's hope they last until this trip in mid Nov - or there will be some little kids gunning for me.
I cashed in another 80k earlier in the year. I am still booking on US - going on trips for the next 4 weeks including 1 abroad.
I really, really want them to make it for many reasons- because I like them and because 28,000 people don't need to get the boot.
Is there any hope of government intervention. I know that they didn't help United last month, but a major carrier going t*ts up right before an election isn't too good.

Aug 23, 04, 8:45 pm
The PhillyFive have 1,055,674 miles as of tonight.
Myself, 319,432 - and that's after recent deduction of 120,000 for two F/C to GCM in December, Mrs. PhillyFive (also CP) 288,302 - after recent deduction of 160,000 for two envoy to GLA in October, and the three SP Philly young adults each between 102,000 and 225,000 each.
We have been burning this year (two envoy earlier in the year, two last minute "premium" for an emergency to avoid last minute $1000+ fares, and many more), but earning almost as rapidly. I'd guess that net, we are down about 300,000 - 400,000 for the year to date.
So what's a family to do???
We figure our trips in Oct and Dec are "probably" OK, but can't plan on using miles too far into next year. So now what? One of the YAs is headed to LGW in two weeks, returning (we hope) in mid-December (ah - semester abroad...), so that adds, not uses miles.
We figure - book something on US to Europe for September (even premium - who cares at this point) and maybe something on UA (Asia?) for next year (and hope Randy is right and they will be honored).
Does anyone have a plan for all their points?? How about 100 life time subscriptions to Field and Stream?????
How to burn miles - now there is a timely topic...

I have over 600K. My wife has about 80K and my kids have about 25K each. Even if they do go under, I think that someone will pickup at least the US1's if not the US2's and US3's. The DM program is a very valuable program--and I think it will be a fight to get the US customers--are they are going to make loyal travelers start from scratch? If I'm wrong, ruh roh.

Guess not much point in saving them anymore for a QF F or *A F to Asia award. I figure if they make it past this fall, I can earn the miles again. Better safe than sorry. Though I certainly hope UA or AA can pick up at least the US elites...1k or EXP (and their accompanying SWUs) sure sound dreamy :D

Around 550k Miles at the moment, after deductions for forthcoming trips.
I don't worry about what I cannot control. I continue to use around 200k Miles each year for upgrades (esp to LAS), last-min trips, and travel with uncertain return dates (to provide max flexibility for a leisure traveler). That's what my DM Miles are really for. I don't feel the need to "follow the crowd" and burn Miles pronto - I fly enough for leisure as it is, and another forced RTW or Vegas trip is not going to give me much pleasure.
And if the worst happens? I'm simply thankful to US for all the places they've taken me to, and for the wonderful frontline and CP Desk service I've received over the years. Any airline that picks up my DM account gets my loyalty, otherwise I'm free to spend more time cruising the seas as a Cunard Platinum member.

Currently, I've got 6,500 - however, I've got a DCA-PHX run in September that will net me about 18,500 (spending 200 bucks on it) more miles - the idea (when I booked it) was to get to 25K to get it to a redeemable level & then do a trip to Alaska or northern Canada in the middle of winter to catch the Northern Lights - hopefully it'll all work out. 200,000 for me
50,000 for Mrs. ytjk
50,000 each for the ytjkettes (2)
0 for the 2 yr old boy
So, I need to shell 200,000 for 4 RT's for my fam to Europe next summer that I will book at the 330 day window--- on which carrier!? That's the question.
Don't know if LH is less likely to honor than U, or if I should just book on US- (after all they go direct PHL-MUC, others connect).
I'll figure it all out in the next 2 weeks.
I will hit CP this year (at 88,000 PM now). Hope that helps if I have to get comped. Maybe will start flying someone else out of EWR -- to build a few miles elsewhere, as I have all the miles I need for next year on US, why throw more in a bucket that may expire?
Anyway, will try to use miles to Europe next summer, take the chance, and will probably burn 5 20k awards transcon to Seattle or something soon.
Cheers!

I have a few hairs over 400,000. My problem is that since my tickets to Newburgh run $860 a week this year, and weekend stayovers only about $330, that leaves me $1400 to spend on a weekend when I want to (860x2-330). So all my weekend trips this year have been company-paid. In fact I'm going to SFO in a few weeks over the weekend.

Took some doing too because just about every one of them was DCA-BOS/PVD. Not a very long trip. Over the past couple years, I've had to start flying Eagle and Comair on BOS-DCA because USS is typically substantially more expensive.
I'm doing DCA-PVD tomorrow, with the 2k bonus that will leave me a couple short of 60k. I'm going to Europe in Jan. on my honeymoon, but I'm going IAD-VCE but then I need to fly Aer Lingus back so I don't think I can use my US miles for that trip.
