US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-FlightFund Merger) - Lufthansa Upgrades?

I swear I searched and couldn't find this so I am sorry if there is a thread on it.
I am flying US to GOT on September 21. The return is on Lufthansa. The US gold lady told me that I could not upgrade on Lufthansa and that she couldn't even change my seats. Any ideas on upgrades on a * alliance partner? Do I really need to call Lufthansa to make the seat changes- it is a code share ticket.

Yes you have to call LH for seat selections. It is very easy to do.

No, as a member of DM you can not upgrade on LH with DM miles or any type of DM certificate.

The only option would be for a LH FF to upgrade you with some sort of LH coupon or miles. But if it is a US ticket on LH metal, that may be limited or even non-existant.
