Does any one have 2 of the same cards. I currently have an Amex Blue - MRO card that I've had for the past 3 years. At that time it offered 0% interest on purchases for six months and 8.99% fixed thereafter. Bot sure of the grace period. A while ago I contacted Amex to lower my interest rate to 7.99% to match the offer for Blue at that time. No luck.
Amex is now advertising Blue MRO, 0% for up to 15 months on purchases, and 7.99% thereafter and balance transfers at 3.99%. Also, there is a 20 day grace period. So, I applied for it just to see if I can get approved. I did, and now it is on its way in the mail. I thought about applying for the Blue Cash, but I'm thinking points will do me justice.
Has anyone ever applied for the same card and got approved? How are they able to approve me for the same type of card without realizing I currently have one? Also, what is up with the grace period? It keeps getting shorter?
