US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-FlightFund Merger) - Major annoucement at FLL Monday 1030am EDT

The rumors have been swirling for a while that something's afoot at FLL with UAIR.

Big Bad Ben Baldanza and Broward County Mayor Ilene Lieberman will be on hand at 1030am Mon 8/23/04 for a press coference in the West Terminal Conference Room (Upper Level), terminal 3.

My outlandish prediction....

US builds up a mini hub to support some more carrib, latin america and.....eventual code-share service to South Africa (South African Airways is the next airline to hopefully join Star in the coming year)

THIS had totally slipped my mind. If I am not mistaken, SAA used to fly to FLL (not MIA as they do now...). Hmmmmmm, this is something fun to mull over the weekend. :)

I don't think they have MIA nonstop anymore.

Just CPT from ATL and JNB from JFK.

Interestingly, it's a shorter route going from JFK than it is from the Southern US States.
