Hilton HHonors - I love the Waldorf=Astoria (and Towers)!

Under the tutelage of Johnep1979, I have become a Hilton Gold member. Upon checking in with the Diamond desk (I asked nicely and they said yes), we were told that if we could wait until 3 to check in we could be upgraded to a suite. We tooled around the city until 6, then checked back in. They had given us a room on the 28th floor in the towers! The room was lovely, although slightly cramped. I was just happy to have access to the concierge lounge.
Only one problem-- the whole room reeked of Marijuana. So, we called down to the desk who said security was on its way. Well, they weren't. We waited an hour and then got ready for the theater. Coming back at 12:15, we went up to the front desk and let them know the problem. Aric, the nicest night housekeeping manager in the whole world, led us to one room (which was dirty), and then to one of the really nice one bedroom suites on the ninth floor (we kept the other suite's key for breakfast in the morning). Not bad for $200 (and a lot of luck)!! As I wrote in my thank you note to Aric, by being so nice to me and my guest, I will definitely be staying at the Waldorf when I return to New York.

I have read all the threads, but I still don't have a good sense of exactly what other benefits and ameneties are available at the Conrad Hotel-Waldorf Towers. I know it has a separate check in desk, but I'm not going to pay extra just for that. How exactly are the rooms different? Is the water pressure good? Are there other services or lounges that one gets in Waldorf Towers that one does not get in regular Waldorf Astoria? I imagine it has separate elevators perhaps making it quicker to get upstairs? Are there different bath ameneties, bedding, and the like in Towers?

Most of the Waldorf Towers' rooms are suites and each suite is individually decorated; some are French provincial, others are English country house style, and yet others have oriental influences. They are all plush and elegant. On each Waldorf Towers floor there are a maximum of 12 "rooms" or so. Separate elevators, Concierge, and Reception staff, as well as separate entrances.

Towers' Guests get complimentary access to the Plus One Fitness Center, and full Astoria Lounge privileges.

The decor of the Towers' full suites cannot be compared to that of the Astoria. Towers' guests also receive very nice Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet toiletries.

Every time I am at the Towers' I find that the hotel tends to give Towers' guests priority treatment when it comes to restaurant reservations in the hotel.
