I'm arriving into AKL in the morning on a SQ flight and leaving later that afternoon on a LanChile flight. I don't have my ticket yet. It is being sent to the LAN desk at the airport while I am overseas. Will I still be eligible for the departure tax waiver? If so, what do I do to get it?

Well i take it you will be going landside and will be picking up the LanChile flight ticket from the landside desk, in which case AFAIK it should be just a case of showing up at the BNZ counter with all the documentation for an exempt sticker, or have i missed something ?

AFAIK you can get the exemption sticker from transit desk airside (preferred as less queues) or any of the BNZ counters landside.
