Air New Zealand would like to advise the international schedule changes for Northern Winter 2004 (31 October 2004 - 26 March 2005)
A summary of these changes versus the current published schedule (Northern Summer 2004) are detailed below.
Tasman
Increase in frequency Auckland – Cairns
Auckland to Cairns services will be operated by three A320 services per week. This replaces the twice weekly services operated by 747-400 and 767-300 aircraft in NS04.
Decrease in frequency between Auckland and Brisbane
Auckland to Brisbane services will reduce from 12 services per week to 7 weekly services operated by 747-400 aircraft.
Aircraft changes Auckland – Sydney
Auckland to Sydney services will be operated by 22 x A320 services and 12 x 767-200 services, still providing 34 services per week.
Aircraft changes Auckland – Melbourne
Auckland to Melbourne services will be operated by 5 x 747-400, 2 x 767-300, and 14 x A320 services providing triple daily services. This service was operated by a mixture of 767-200, A320 and 767-300 aircraft.
Increase in services between Auckland and Perth
Auckland to Perth services will increase from four services per week to daily services operated by 767-300 aircraft, commencing 01 November.
Aircraft change Christchurch – Brisbane
Christchurch – Brisbane services will be operated by 5 x A320 aircraft (versus 767-300s in NS04)
Seasonal flights from Queenstown to Melbourne and Brisbane
Queenstown services to both Melbourne and Brisbane operating during NS04 will cease.
Increase in services between Queenstown and Sydney
Queenstown to Sydney services will increase from the previous year to two A320 services per week. However seasonal NS04 flights will cease.
Shorthaul
New service between Christchurch and Rarotonga
A new weekly service between Christchurch and Rarotonga will commence from 01 December 2004. These flights will be operated by an A320 aircraft.
Decrease in services between Los Angeles and Papeete
Los Angeles to Papeete services will reduce from four to three direct flights per week. These flights will be operated by a 767-300 aircraft.
Seasonal change in services between Auckland and Nadi
Auckland to Nadi services will reduce from nine to eight direct flights per week. These flights will be operated by a 5x 767-300, 2xA320 and 1x 737 aircraft.
Longhaul
Auckland-Taipei service increases from 3 to 4 per week. Please note that these services will be operated by Eva Air.
Christchurch - Los Angeles services commence 02 November 2004. These direct services will operate 3 times per week on a Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday and are operated by a 747-400 aircraft.
Auckland - Honolulu services decrease from 3 to 2 services per week. These services will operate on a Tuesday and Saturday out of Auckland.
