Looking for some good Chinese in Oakbrook Terrace, Lombard, Elmhurst or anything near by. ThanksI lived in Elmhurst for six years and never found anything acceptable. Now I live further southwest and haven't bothered looking.

My guess would be that Westmont would be the most likely place to find something, as there are a lot of ethnic restaurants in that suburb.

Are you looking for nicer, sit down & have the food served to you, or is a primarily takeout place okay?

Either or is great. The only place that I have been to in the area is PF Changs. I just need a change. Thanka again!!

South of Oak Brook on Rt 83 about 5 miles south of Oak Brook shopping center is Ogden Ave. Exit going west, at the first light, turn right and go back a 1/2 mile. There is an odd shopping mall with a Chinese food court inside the building. There are 4-6 places to choose from. Not bad Pho. One can also get sea cucumber served here so I give it a little bit of a not so westernized thumbs up. Not a place to take a biz client, but for sure if by oneself.

There are also other Chinese restaurants on the first floor of this building facing the outside, but i have never been to them, only the food court on the inside of the building.

This month's Chicago Magazine made this comment about Tay Do Vietnamese restaurant (1232 Bloomington Road, Glendale Heights, 630.462.8888)

"As good as anything on Argyle Street - if not better"

That's darn high praise, have to get out to Tay Do sometime.
