I got a great upgrade in HNL as a PC on Saturday.
Booked midsize and used an earned free day rental certificate. When we got there, the shuttle bus driver told us to wait and he would bring the keys to our Cadillac DeVille!
Our total was $3.39 for the 24 hour rental. Gas was much more.
I'm 26 and drive a 3 series at home. We got a few funny looks and I found out that it was a challenge to park that boat, but it does drive very smoothly. Surprisingly it has less front legroom because the seats don't move back as far.
The return agent said that they were sold out and giving luxury upgrades to anyone with Hertz status. I should have asked for a Jaguar convertible.
